Photoshop: Saving proof setup files to odd path

Why on earth does my copy of Mac OS X Photoshop CS5 save proof profiles in /Library/Printers/EPSON/EPSON PIC Folder/Modules/PIC3Plugins/PIC_Stylus_Office_BX600FW.plugin/Contents/Resources/0 where it is useless, instead of where it belongs in /Users/Me/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Color/Proofing/ ? I don't even own a PIC_Stylus_Office_BX600FW. Please fix this!

Not sure, unless you've navigated to that folder at some point, because that certainly isn't the default path for proof setup files. And Photoshop wouldn't even be able to navigate there unless you did have a driver that used that path.

No. That is what is so strange about it. I never had any reason to navigate to that obscure location. Maybe others can try it. In PsCS5 on a Mac go to View -> Setup Proof -> Custom and then click the Save button. What is the default location that it takes you to?

Well, come to think of it I did just install the driver for an Epson 7900. Maybe that has something to do with it. I did not manually navigate to that directory but maybe installing the driver affected it somehow. But I would think the software would default to the correct location.
