Lost HOURS of work for client because of forced restart: irreparably corrupt catalog (LR 2.7)

I received a 'corrupt database' error message due to a forced restart while editing photos on LR 2.7 (just updated from 2.0). This is the second time this has happened in 3 days and, last time, the catalog was not able to be repaired and I lost all data that had been in LR. I am assuming this is what will happen again and am hoping there is some solution because I need to finish editing the photos for a client by tomorrow. This has cost me several hours of repeat work. VERY FRUSTRATING!!! The error message sent me to a page talking about the error occurring when updating from 1.0 to 1.1. Did this happen because I just updated to 2.7 from 2.0? What can I do?!

It wasn't new in 2.7 and it should be gone in 3.0 (though you might as well wait for 4.0 at this point). I can try to help you patch up the catalog file, though.
