lost Lightroom CC catalog

My primary desktop crashed. After the crash I installed lightroom CC on another computer (Microsoft Surface Pro 3) running the latest Windows 10). I can recover my .lrcat catalog file.
However when I attempt to load the .lrcat into Lightroom CC I'm told that 'com.adobe.ag.library cannot be found'.
Is there any way to recover my catalog from only the .lrcat file?

Are you referring to the Lr Classic CC right? The message 'com.adobe.ag.library cannot be found' might be an indication that you have a bad install. It might not have anything to do with the catalog that you are trying to open. Try completely uninstall Lr Classic CC from that machine and reinstall it from scratch.

Yes, I'm using Lightroom Classic loaded from Adobe Creative Cloud.
I completely uninstalled LR  from the Creative Cloud app and I still can't load the .lrcat file (> 1 MB .lrcat file).

It seems that there must be some way to rescue > 1 MB .lrcat file from Lightroom CC on a crashed computer..
