While attempting to delete one file, I accidentally lost all the files in a folder I was working on in LR CC Classic. I couldn’t undo this, and now my backed up lrcat files won’t open. Error message states a permission issue but permissions gave me all rights. Will I need to try to recover the images from my memory card? What about my CC “backup”?

I'm not sure what you mean with 'CC backup'. There is no backup in the cloud, if that is what you mean. How are you trying to open a local backed up catalog? The catalog backups are zipped, so you first have to unzip them.

Go to the folder in the Finder with those photos (that you deleted accidentally) and re-import them into LR. Not sure why you can't open the backup without actually being there.

Reimporting is of course possible, but it is the last thing you should try, because it means you will lose all your edits and added metadata.
