My laptop shut unexpectedly and I seem to have lost all the layers and folders in my PSD file despite me saving it before it shut down. It now just shows a black background layer and nothing else but the file size is still what it was before - 110mb. Is there any way to get the data back? Please help :(

Edit: I'm using Windows 7 and Photoshop CC.

Most likely the file was not yet written to disk (still in buffers) when the machine shut down.

If the file only opens with the background, and has no error messages - then the file claims to only have a background, which means part of the file structure is damaged.

You might have some luck recovering layers with a PSD recovery utility - http://telegraphics.com.au/sw/product...
