LIGHTROOM 4.3: Longer AVCHD video clip splits to shorter clips

When I try to download longer AVCHD video clip (let say over 20 minutes) from Panasonic AVCHD HMC40 video camera to LR4 on my Mac Pro , video clip always splits to few shorter video clips. If original clip is shorter (up to 5-6 minutes), everything is fine.
Thanks for your help!

Hi,
since I have verified again this problem few times, there must be some bug in this 4.3 version. Could you PLEASE find out what is the maximum length of single video clip in minutes ( size of the clip?) downloadable directly into LR4 from AVCHD cameras? Thank you very much.

How many *.mts (or *.mts2) files are created in the AVCHD directory? Video clips size in Lightroom is only limited by the operating system file size. My best guess is that the video camera is actually breaking up the the single AVCHD clip into multiple *.mts files. The video camera (and potentially some other video players that fully support AVCHD) may recognize them as one clip. Lightroom does not have full support for the entire AVCHD directory structure and therefore imports the .mts files as separate clips. .
