Photoshop: Collapsible font grouping like Illustrator and InDesign

In inDesign and Illustrator (CC2015), the font menus are nicely compacted with dropdown arrows, so you only see the font name, not the whole family, thus making it easier to scroll through the list to choose a font.

BUT, in Photoshop, there are no dropdown arrows, and all the family is visible, thus making for a VERY long list to scroll through. For example, ALL the Avenir fonts (all 36 of them) are listed. CAN THIS BE FIXED?

ALSO, In Illustrator, when I choose a font and click the arrow to show the whole family, the spaces where all the family names are supposed to be are blank.
