I have a problem with the export function and the locations fields. I reverse geoencode my images in Lightroom and the values in the locations fields are in grey instead of white. As I have understood this is how it is supposed to be, but the values in these fields should be written to the metadata in exported files. This is not happening for me. After an export these values are empty. The GPS data are correct in both raw files and in the exported file and are in white fonts in the metadata panel. Since these values dont stick to the exported files I cant use the plugin AnyTag to commit my location fields. I am using Canon CR2 files and the metadata area automatically written to xmp sidecar files. Also using Lightroom CC 2015.12. Hope someone has a clue of what I or Lightroom are doing wrong.

Go to the Metadata tab in your Catalog Settings.
Do you have this option checked?
