Loading multiple Canon CR2 images in CS6 into different layers does not always complete. Using CS6 on an iMac (3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo) with 12 GB of memory running Mac OSX Ver 10.7.4

I use the Align & Blend feature. In the Beta version I experienced this problem and now in the released version the same problem is occurring.

I choose multiple images in Bridge. Then I choose "Tools: Photoshop: Load Files into Photoshop Layers ..."

The images begin loading and 1 or two load but then it stops loading the rest. Usually if I repeat the operation they load okay. I have bee successful in loading up to 9 CR2 images from my Canon 5D Mark2 (these files average 24-25 MB size) and, once all the images are in, the align and blend features usually work fine.

I should have reported it earlier and would have if you had a report menu option in the Beta version. Just finding this form here took some time: why don't you make it a bit easier to file legitimate bug reports?

Now, most recently, I can't get 2 (two!) files to load in 2 layers. They each load separately and the interface says they both are loaded (the message comes up saying each is loading) but the second file does not show up in a layer (see screen image) and when I attempt to align the "loaded" image, Photoshop says it can't because there isn't enough overlap.

I'm having the exact same problem. When I first tried CS6 on Snow Leopard it would do this all the time.

I since did a clean install on a new disk of Lion, installed CS6 and it has been running fine for a few weeks.

Then it started to abort the layer load every now and again. Trying again would work though.

But today, happening every time. Tried all sorts of different preference settings (memory, graphics settings etc) none have worked.

When I quit Photoshop, it prompts to save the opened image with the 2 layers (the bottom one blank), then it prompts to save an image that I can't see. It as obviously loaded the image to put into a layer, but as the script aborts you are left with this open (but invisible) image.

This is a major show stopper for me as it is my main workflow. Might have to go back to CS5 :-(
