I am subscribed. Revel thinks I am not. I have 22,000 images upoaded Revel thinks I have 17. It is February 2014. Revel Thinks it is December 2013.

These problems are with Revel online on Windows Vista.

We have two iphones and two ipads Revel works perfectly fine on these, using the same account details. Revel online was working just fine before The problem exists under Safari, Google Chrome and Firefox.

Any ideas?

You have thousands of photos in the account using the same email you are using to post in this forum (gmail account), so your photos are there in the cloud as expected.

Since Safari is not being updated for windows anymore, I would not suggest using that fodr your browser. Current versions of Chrome, Firefox, or Explorer should work fine.

First ensure the date on your computer is set correctly and verify you have a current version of the browser, and then try logging out and back in using the same credentials you use on your iphones and ipad.

Maybe you can clarify for me what indicates that revel thinks it is still Dec 2013?

Hello Patti F.

Thank you for your swift reply.

Firefox and Google Chrome are both behaving in the same manner as Safari, as detailed in my original post. Both browsers are up to date versions. They are not working 'just fine'. The date and time is correctly set within Windows Vista Home Premium. I cannot tell what precise date Revel thinks it is, but it indicates that I am able to upload 50 images 'this month' which will 'reset on 4 January 2014'. I have logged out and logged in. I have soft and hard rebooted the PC too.

Just 16 short video clips and one iphone photo are shown as having been uploaded & my status is indicated as being 'not subscribed'. I am, in fact, subscribed and I have 22,900 or so images and videos currently uploaded. Both our iPhones and iPads are displaying things correctly, within their app version of Revel, in the main.

Before this current hiccup, Revel has never actually worked glitch free. Many uploads made (from the Windows PC) fail to complete. RAW files are meant to upload for subscribers, but they don't do this reliably, or often. TIFF files never upload. Many video clips do not upload. Large JPEG files sometimes fail to upload.

All images & video clips from ipad and iphone seem to be just fine - the problem files come from my Canon EOS 5D Mark II, both video & RAW still images. The JPEG and TIFF files are converted from RAW in Photoshop CS 2.

On the topic of Photoshop, PS Express on ipad 3 and iphone 5 is becoming increasingly, grindingly slow. Additionally, the 'looks' both basic and premium, are pretty useless when compared to earlier iterations of the app. When compared to Photoforge and Snapseed, which are far more capable and flexible photographic tools, PS Express seems very limited and primitive, especially from the longtime market leader. Individual, fine tune controls on the go are more important to working photographers than cartoonish amateur filters (fun though they may initially be to the casual user). I understand that an ipad is not a MacBookPro, but if the makers of those two apps can do it, I'm sure the mighty Adobe can too.....

But I digress...

Please let me know if you have any ideas regarding the mysterious vanishing uploads from Revel Online.

Thanks

Dale Chappell.

It certainly looks like you are logged into a different account than the gmail account because I see that you are subscribed with thousands of files.

Lets start with logging out and back in...please ensure that you are using the gmail account that you use for this forum when you login, and let me know if you see your files and show subscribed.

From there we can address other issues.

Hi Patti

I only have the one account. I only use the one gmail address. As detailed in my previous post, I have logged out and logged back in on Safari, Google Chrome and Firefox, all to no avail. This leads me to suspect it might be a Windows Vista Home Premium issue with the online version of Revel, as the same gmail address account using the Revel app on our iPhones/iPads shows all 22,000 images (well, those that HAVE uploaded successfully - as you say, we can address the non-upload issues separately). Peculiar, isn't it?

Hi Dale

I am looking into this odd behavior and will either post or send you an email soon.

Hi Dale

You have two different accounts. One is using @gmail.com (subscribed with lots of photos) and one is using @googlemail.com.(trial with 17 files) I will send you an email with details. That explains why you can't see that you are subscribed and only see 17 videos when you login at adoberevel.com because you are logging into a different account.
