So - Lets open this issue again
This is an issue that has been going around in conversations for 2+ years. So far there haven't been a fix.

Anytime you MERGE 2 live shapes or MOVE AN ANCHOR POINT of a live shape, it is converted to a regular path. This leads to the shape not showing in properties with all the info you need to see or edit. not even the X/Y H/W values!

What's the point!??!?! What good does it make if editing the shape RUINS the shape!?!?!? Is there any plan at all to fix this? I know MANY people are frustrated with this issue!!!!

If you move an anchor point, then it should no longer be treated as a smart/live shape - because it isn't and you could have moved the point anywhere...
And merging has the same problem -- there is no way to apply the smart/live definition to multiple paths. So you're describing entirely expected behavior.

well, isn't it possible to change that current method? just as indesign treats vectors?

some shape properties should be available for bezier shapes too, not just live shapes. the ability to change the fill, stroke, and other features that are relevant for bezier shapes too, not just live shapes.

this is bezier path: no functionalities in the properties panel. If I need to modify something, I need to make them in the tools menu

this is live shape properties: many functions I need for my bezier shapes (I won't need round corners but I need the others)
