I have two faces in a photo, and only want to “fix” one of them (the left one)... but the Liquify feature will not detect the face I want to alter. I’ve tried cropping and adjusting the size of the photo, and it still won’t work. And apparently it posts upside down here, too... smh. Please help!!

Silly question but are you trying to edit them upside down, like above. If so try flipping it right side up first. Not sure the auto face detection works upside down. If not it maybe because there touching, in that case try manual mode!

No, I’m not editing an upside down photo. I have no idea why it posted it like that. I tried 3 times to repost the image and it kept attaching upside down. As far as a “manual” mode, I tried, but I can’t do anything manually in this app. Everything is set to auto. Any idea how to fix that? Thanks.

If flipping doesn't work, duplicate layer, remove unwanted face from duplicate layer and try detection on that.

For the fun of it I tried it with the above photo. Liquify face mode won't work on an upside down image

The photo on my phone is NOT upside down... I don’t know why it posted here like that. In my phone, the app tells me it doesn’t recognize the photo format, even though it’s just a selfie on my iPhone. The app still lets me upload the photo, but when I tried duplicating the image, it told me I wasn’t allowed, and when I cropped the image, then it wouldn’t detect a face at all. Any other suggestions?

Hi Chrisanna,

Try Edit > Transform > Rotate 180° and then try Liquify again.

Thanks,

Well, the photo on my phone isn’t upside down, so rotating it won’t make a difference. I have no idea why the photo posted on the forum like that. But looking at your image vs my image... the face on the left is the one I’m having trouble with, as the app isn’t even recognizing it as a face in the photo. So, where you have two faces recognized, in the app on my phone, the program is only detecting the face on the right. So, how is your program working better than mine? How do I get mine to do that?

Hi Chrisanna,

What version of Photoshop are you running? (Found in Help > System Info).

Thanks,
Hannah

When you are in Photoshop, if you could go into Help > System Info and copy the top line, that would tell me which version you are using.

Thank you,
Hannah
