I would like to have the option to see/hide rulers while working in Liquify. I work on lots of packshots and sometimes it would be helpful to be able to create extra guides to see if something is 100% straight. Now I have to go out of liquify and just do it in photoshop...

You're saying  that you can't always foresee what you're going to need to create enough guides before you enter to take care of this issue? I don't know which would be easier—bringing in rulers and guides, or using code from other dialogs. Would a Grid, with Grid spacing, as other dialogs for transformations have, be sufficient? For instance, this one from Lens Correction could perhaps be borrowed for Liquify:

A grid would be sufficient, yes!
