I am an experienced use of the Filter Liquify and lately I have no success in the Liquify pane as my brush does not show commands but if I do a stroke/bulge, etc it only shows on the main /original page and not in the Liquify pane. I need this tool. I have updated the latest version and even re-installed but to no avail. I have plenty of room on my hard drive. Help!

Have you installed all the updates for Photoshop CS5?

And have you updated your video card driver from the GPU maker's website? (updating from Microsoft will get you drivers several years out of date)

I just installed Pshop update 12.04.4 and Restarted my OS then tried Liquify but to no avail. I'm not familiar with the other items you mentioned.Wndws regularly puts updates into my computer so I leave it up to them. It's 2:30am here so I have to get my beauty sleep. Will check with you after that. I appreciate your help. G'nite, ROC

Go to your GPU Maker's website (Intel, AMD, or NVidia, depending on which brand of GPU you have in your system) and get the driver update.

Chris, From the Intel site I downloaded an update for my Intel GPU and it must have been the wrong update because my Desktop screen got very large and the Intel site page was so large i couldn't reduce it or X it out. I restarted and then uninstalled it then I went to All Programs and downloaded an update from my Intel Program and the download went smoothly BUT I still can't get Pshop Liquify to work. Again in the Liquify Filter pane my tool shows no activity but when I OK out and go back to Pshop pane my image shows the change. I follow orders pretty well so if you have another suggestion let me know. Thanks, ROC

Determine what video card you have and go *directly to the manufacturers website (nVidia or ATI/AMD)* and download the latest driver. Additional instructions/information: http://blogs.adobe.com/crawlspace/201...

Just doing Windows Update won't give you the latest and greatest drivers. You must go directly to your card manufacturers website to check for driver updates.

Am I using this communication system correctly? I may be using the "comment" and "reply" wrong. Thanks, ROC

Chris, Thanks for you attention. I got a communication from Adobe genre7 to uncheck "Show background" which I did and that remedied my problem. Thanks to everybod at Adobe I got the answer I wanted with great gratitude. ROC
