Photoshop Elements: Lines thru prints

Every time I print from Photoshop I get lines thru the image. The lines are the same color as the image but darker. They run across the image (ie 8.5in). Epson say this is caused by Photoshop. Yet I've not been able to get a response from anyone at Photoshop to remedy it. The printer is new. I'm very upset at how difficult and costly it is to get help from Photoshop. I'm surely not the only person to have this problem.

That's not a Photoshop problem. That's either a clogged inkjet head (misdirecting some of the drops), or a problem in the printer driver software.

Which OS are you using? Which printer model?
And have you tried cleaning the print head and doing a nozzle check?

Hi Alfred,

It would help if you can provide some more information, like which version of Photoshop you're using? What OS/version? Which printer and which driver you're using?

When I print from Photoshop Elements I get lines through the print. They are always 1inch apart regardless of image size, They are the same color as the image only darker. They are a hairs-breadth thick. They cross the page (ie 8.5 in). They don't appear on straight copies, only images from Photoshop. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program. Nobody seems to have any idea why. I can't believe I'm the only one to have ever encountered the problem. I can't get any help from Photoshop Family. Adobe make it impossible to get direct help. Unless I'm willing to accept lines through peoples' faces I can't work. Thank you Adobe.

Are you using the latest updates for both Photoshop Elements and your printer (downloaded from the printer manufacturers web site)?

What color management settings are you using with Photoshop Elements and the printer?

Do you see the same behavior when printing from both the Editor and the Organizer?
