I have a problem where I am unable to load lightroom 5 as it asks for a license and I have a cc subscription that covers lr. This has meant not being able to use lightroom for 4 months. Support has been pathetic, limited to uninstalling, reinstalling, or variations of uninstall, look at etc hosts, run adobe tool to remove lr, reinstall lightroom. NONE OF THESE ATTEMPTS TO CORRECT PROBLEM JHAVE WORKED..

Come on ADobe get your act together and get my system back working. It is a i5 running on win8.0, with 8mgs of ram.

Unfortunately I can't even try the latest version because that now fails with this error when trying to download lightroom 5.3...

Exit Code: 7

Please see specific errors below for troubleshooting. For example, ERROR:

MSI Error message:

Was unable to install from CC, error 1624.
Tried the full install: http://www.adobe.com/support/download...
Now works correctly (had the license requested during install but prefilled with CC number).

yes thats correct I have downloaded from just about everywhere, and on install it asks for a license. Regardless of whether I have lr5 installed at that time. I have even, on the instruction of the support, used the adobe tool, logged out of cc, logged in done the hookeycokey and it still didn;t work.

Lighroom support for this issue sucks big time, you listening Adobe ?
