Rick,

Not exactly. I usually save all my pictures in specific collections.

After the difficult initial transfer, there are some pictures not assigned in any collections.

I have around 44K pictures, then my question is easy:
Q1: How can I filter the pictures not in any collection ?

Q2: Also I did not find where I can see in which collections a picture is assigned...
Thanks for your help
Nicolas

Hi Nicolas,

Just to be clear... your post is titled Lightroom CC but you are asking about collections which makes me think you are using Lightroom Classic. If that is the case then the following tips should help.

For question 2... Photos in a collection will have this badge   in the Grid view and the Filmstrip. Click the badge to see which collections the photo is in. Click the collection name and it will take you to that collection.

After a bit of digging I found this very useful post on how to sort pictures not in a collection:

Your Smart Collection Window should look like this:

and just in case you want to read all about collections here is the page form the Lr Classic user guide that tells you about them.

None of this functionality currently exists in Lightroom CC. There have been requests  for similar features so perhaps we will see it future updates.

I hope that helps.

Cheers!
