Lightroom: Web Module Export Gallery Does Not Work

Re "Lightroom Web Module"

In the "site info" panel, I type the word "exit"

In the "web or mail link" section, I copy and paste the web page address of the page on my site

I wish it to be directed to.

I preview this with the Lightroom "Preview in Browser" button.

All works perfectly well including the exit link.

I then export it into my website "local file".

Create a link from text on my web page to the lightroom created gallery (I'm using Dreamweaver)

Then save changes in Dreamweaver and click preview in browser.

The Gallery works fine with the exception of the exit link.

I have the same problem in the Web HTML Gallery

I have also downloaded Lightroom 3.6 from Adobe labs and had the same result.

Any Suggestions

Many thanks...David

It sounds like the link you are creating is "local" and only makes sense in your development environments. Once you export it to a context where a real server has to interpret the gesture and link, it may point to nowhere.

What happens if you Copy Link Address and paste it into a new browser tab? Does the URL make sense? Does it go anywhere?

Hi John.
Thanks for your reply. I just copied the link from lightroom and pasted it into a new browser window (deleted all browsing history just to be sure b4 pasting) and link worked fine. I'm new to all this, but I checked the code of the Lightroom Created Gallery page in Dreamweaver...and it looks like this,
Home
http://emotionsoflightphotography.com...

Note I changed exit to home in lightroom b4 exporting incase "exit" is a code term.
In second line of code it has http:emotionsoflight etc.
Could that be the issue ?, If so what should the code look like ?
Many thanks Dave.

I know this is an old topic...

If anyone is interested. I have a walk-round:

In the Contact info box, you need to use HTML e.g.

<!-- <a href="http://www.yoursite.co.uk/" target="_blank">Your Site</a> -->

and you need to leave the 'Web or Mail link' box empty.

You can also use the same trick to make the 'collection title' clickable.

I hope that helped.

Sorry if I got your hopes up. It was working in lightroom but after I exported it, the links no longer worked :-(
