Lightroom: Send print jobs directly to professional labs

I'm sure the Lightroom team's discussed this, but just thought I'd pass on some feedback from a semi-pro user... it would be great to have the Lightroom print module connect to someone like MPix the way the book module connects to Blurb. It would be extremely convenient to be able to queue up some prints and have them sent straight to a vendor. Even though I have a good home printer, I send most of my prints to a lab since the pricing isn't too different, I can do metallic prints, better black and whites, add a rigid backing, and then there's the convenience of not having to cut my printed images. Avoiding using ROES or other 3rd party tools to print my images with professional labs would be a huge time saver.

I could certainly see a use for that, although more likely from a plug-in developer rather than direct from Adobe.

Mpix might be a lost cause. Jeffrey Friedl posted regarding Mpix saying
"Don’t expect one any time soon... mpix has made it clear that they do not want an uploader from Lightroom. No idea why. —Jeffrey"

Some plug-in developers have already created uploaders for some other labs though http://alloyphoto.com/plugins/ and http://regex.info/blog/lightroom-goodies
