Lightroom: Second Window with compression artifacts and bad colors

I installed Lightroom 4.1 RC2 64 Bit, Win7 and activated the 2nd Monitor Window -> magnifier (i have the german version).

The colours are different from the main window and also there are artifacts like with jpeg compression, on the first screen there isnt such a problem (using D700 NEF file). If i move the main window to the 2nd monitor and back, all is fine, there is always a difference between first/second window in color and with these artifacts (like the save for web preview in PS).

Is this a bug or a setting?

It's the way the application works. The previews are JPEGs in Adobe RGB space. You can set higher quality previews, if you like, in the preferences, but they're still going to be JPEGs.

The color difference problem could be the same as here: http://feedback.photoshop.com/photosh... ...and will apparently be fixed in the 4.1 final.

Just to summarize the other similar posts.
This is an extremely serious bug, it has disabled the Color Management on Monitor 2 under the Development module. For those working in a professional studio with 2 monitors this is a disaster.
I really hope it gets fixed soon but I am worried because I have not heard anything from Adobe members for a week now.

"I am worried because I have not heard anything from Adobe members for a week now. "

Why would you be worried when that feedback was, "Anyway I was able to reproduce the findings on this thread and forwarded it to my colleague who fixed it. The bug is a most recent breakage in 4.1 RC2. "?

I don't want to downplay the seriousness of the bug, but it is hardly a disaster. After all, this happened in a release candidate, which strictly speaking should not be used in a professional or productive environment.
