Lightroom SDK: No way to access EXIF:UserComment

Lightroom 5 shows the EXIF:UserComment field in the Metadata pane as "User Comment". But the value of this field is not accessible via photo:getRawMetadata() or photo:getFormattedMetadata(). It should be trivial to fix this oversight by adding key "userComment" to photo:getRawMetadata().

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Lightroom SDK: please make user-comment (exif) field available for both reading a....

All metadata should be accessible to SDK for reading/writing, but this request is for a specific field, ID:

com.adobe.userComment

Thanks for considering..

Still exists in LR CC 2015.8 / LR 6.8 / LR SDK 6.
:-(

It's a bit curious: If I call photo:getRawMetadata() with an assumed parameter "userComment", I get an error of unknown key. If I call it with another assumed parameter "comment", I dont' get the unknown key error message – instead I get an empty string, even the Exif field "User Comment" is filled.

With photo:getFormattedMetadata() I get the the unknown key error message at both cases.
