Lightroom SDK: LrHttp.get and .post are suddenly broken.

They always return a table with an error, error-code "unknown" - "The system cannot find the file...".

No matter what the URL is (as long as its not malformed), the response is immediate, and always the same, regardless of the other parameters or whether there is a working internet connection or not.

Driving me crazy - its been working for months, then suddenly kaput - nothing I've been able to so far has helped.

Its as if some file has gone wonky or missing, but how to remedy? Re-installing (repair, actually) Lr3.4.1 didn't help. I don't think its even getting so far as to try to send a message through the internet. System is otherwise healthy to the best of my knowledge.

win 7/64

Attempting to check for new version of jf Flickr plugin:

And if I try to send the log file to Jeffrey:

Note: Its not a problem with JF's plugin, nor my internet connection, its a problem with the LrHttp functions get & post, which have stopped working.

Any information you can give that would help me resolve this would be greatly appreciated,
Rob

Sounds like the problem lies somewhere in Photoshop.com

My problem is independent of photoshop.com (happens with all plugins using LrHttp.get/post), but photoshop.com may be at the root of other problems: http://feedback.photoshop.com/photosh...

I'm frustrated because I can't talk to a tech person and resolve this over the phone. At this point all I have had is an inappropriate request for my password to fix a corruption in my account. Since when do administrators need individual passwords?

Adobe: *** I would really like to get this resolved.

Any information you can provide, like what does Lightroom depend on for LrHttp.get/post support in Windows 7(64), will be appreciated.

I am not seeing this Rob. My Win 7 64 Bit can check versions and send logs.

You do know that Jeffery's Server was down a couple of days for maintenance? It was posted on his blog.

Thanks Rikk, for checking.

I wasn't seeing this either until recently. It has nothing to do with the server end.

The LrHttp.get/post commands are having the error before (/without) talking to the server. i.e. same results regardless of server, and even if the URL is to a non-existent server (it should be a different error in the latter case). Note: the error is immediate and the same regardless of whether there is an internet connection or what the URL is (as long as the URL is not malformed).

The LrHttp.get/post commands themselves are no longer working - something is wonky in Lightroom itself, or in the OS it depends on...

its broken for all plugins, not just some.

This can be marked "solved".

I don't know why it started happening, and I don't know why it stopped happening, but its not happening anymore.
