Lightroom: Retain/Copy Current Adjustment Brush Settings

It would be very handy if one could copy/retain settings from an existing adjustment brush pin in order to use it for future brushing. Currently, when I select an adjustment brush pin the settings are "loaded", but upon deletion of the pin, the settings revert back so some "default" or "last used" settings.

Often I need to delete strokes but only to use the same stroke settings to redraw them. Applications include strokes copied over by using the "Previous" button or when I discover that I should redo a brushing job for a neater result.

In all the above scenarios, I need the brush settings that were used for the original strokes, but there does not seem to be a convenient way to get to them. The brush settings are typically not of general use so that creating brush presets for them would not be reasonable. I could always use a "copy" preset for this purpose, updating and then using it, but this is quite cumbersome as a permanent solution.

Nik uses a Ctrl key to duplicate one of its control points. You control (or is it Alt) on a control point and drag to a new location.

I just noticed that a question I asked a while ago is a duplicate of this idea:

Perhaps a merge would make sense.
