Lightroom: options for paste/sync, to avoid overwriting existing adjustments with less optimal adjustments.

I'd love to see an option for selective copy - existing local adjustments highlighted and distinguished from incoming and user can choose to overwrite all, none, or tick the ones to copy...

This idea originated with local adjustments in mind, but would be applicable to other settings too: e.g. exposure (copy if not already adjusted, as an option, or take one or the other if already adjusted...). This way user would not have to decide in advance which settings to overwrite unconditionally.

As it stands, its often somewhat traumatic for me to copy/paste/sync settings - I'm often uncertain whether I'll be overwriting something that has already been optimally or partially done in the target of the sync/paste.

Summary: option to overwrite target setting only if not already adjusted, or to do selective copy/reconciliation would be awesome.

PS - This could not be done well as a plugin, due partly to the fact that plugins must apply all develop adjustments via presets which appear in the edit-history, so it would not be practical to support the ability to preview various settings from source vs. target before deciding. Also, SDK does not have the hooks to highlight dust spots corrections..., or augment image display in any way.
