Make more or all reasonable metadata available for use as a filter in Lightroom, please! Would be really helpful to better organize HDR Workflows and use especially "exposure compension" (from Exif-Data) for filtering purposes, group photo sets and apply common development settings to these!.

I agree with you Mat.

In the meantime, there are a few plug-ins that may be able to help. Any Filter is the one that springs to mind, but there are others too. http://www.johnrellis.com/lightroom/a...

John Ellis' AnyFilter is great, as is Jeffrey Friedl's DataExplorer, but neither are wired up to exiftool (and therefore only have access to metadata supported by the plugin SDK).

If you want metadata they don't have, consider Rob Cole's ExifMeta, which supports everything available via exiftool.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Can we please have more filters in Lightroom 6?.

The filters in Lightroom that we can work with, are a bit
underrepresented if you compare it the the fields that are available in smart collections, and in the metadata sidebars. It should be possible to filter by many more fields of metadata than the ones currently available.

Which ones? All the ones that can be used in smart collections, should be in the filters bar as well.
