Lightroom Module Frustrations

I'm sure these have been covered 'somewhere'.... but a search provided no results at all. Sorry!

The separation of Library and Develop module continues to frustrate me. When ever I want to do something simple, like change the ratings on multiple items do I have to go back to the Library module, or do them one at a time in the Develop module? Crazy.

Why can't I put several shots in to a group while in the develop module, instead of having to drop back to the Library module, group them and then come back?

In fact, since we can make basic adjustments in the Library module, it must have access to the develop settings / interface, so why not just drop the Develop panel in to the Library module instead of the silly cut down version?

Why can't we have dockable panels like in Premiere Pro? I hate having to scroll up and down to find an adjustment when I have two other screens I could move them to and leave open and viewable all the time?

Lightroom is a great piece of software spoilt by some silly architectural decisions.
