Lightroom mobile problem with international characters

So I just installed LR mobile, and it works great. But... I'm having trouble with my swedish characters. We have for example the letter a with two dots on top (ä), the letter a with a ring on top (å) and the letter o with two dots (ö). They all work fine when renaming files in LR desktop. But when the photos are synced over to the iPad those special characters are replaced by some jibberish characters, and they all start with the square root sign. I've googled but haven't found anything about it.

Hi, which version of Lightroom mobile are you using? Are you on the tablet or on the phone?

Just downloaded it a few days ago so it's version 1.1.0. It's the same on both iPad and iPhone.

Also, I'm running LR 5.6 on my Windows 7 desktop computer. Could it be some kind of Windows/Apple character set problem?

Are you renaming through the meta data/Filename field? Did you upgrade from 5.5? If so - did you encounter it only in 5.6 and not 5.5?

On the desktop, I rename with the F2 key. I upgraded from 5.3 so I've never used Mobile before.

I press F2 and then use a preset I've made that renames according to date and time, and I also add a custom text

What language do you have on the Desktop? And what language do you have on your iPad?

Sorry, I lied to you. The problem is only with the iPad. On the iPhone 5S the file names are correct. Attached is a screenshot from the iPad. The file name should be "...semester på Åland"
