Lightroom mobile: Closes immediately after starting

Lightroom mobile closes immediately after starting:

when I launch adobe lightroom mobile 1.10 on my ipad retina latest iOS updates it closes immediately without any messages. This has started happening after adding photos from the camera roll. There was not enough space so I deleted some of the photos already imported.

it looks like the app is open when I double click the button and swipe through the apps but when I select again it disappears.

i don't have access to my PC to check on there.

Have you tried to restart your iPad and see if it helps. - Guido

Yes, multiple times. I also uninstalled and reinstalled Lightroom Mobile, with and without restarting inbetween. Device is iPad Air with latest iOS.

A couple of questions. Does Lr Mobile crash when you sign-in or direct after app launch? Or after you trigger an import from the camera roll? What type of photo did you try to  import? Photos imported via connection-kit from a Camera? If so what type of camera?

Do you have the privacy settings for photos-Lightroom enabled at your ios settings?

It crashes when I try to launch the app: it starts to open and immediately disappears again. The app still shows it the open app bar when I double tap the home button, but when tapping on the icon in the app bar triggers the same reopening/closing problem. The app stopped working out of the blue a few days days ago; I've been using it without problem since it came out a year ago or so. I import photos only through cloud syncing with the desktop Lightroom. I sync photos on a regular basis, almost daily. The last import I did worked well initially and through several edits back and forth with the desktop, but suddenly it stopped working without that I could point to any changes in iPad or app configurations. I just enabled Lightroom in the privacy settings to access the photo roll, but the problem still exists.

Hi Stefan,

it seems there is something wrong with the sync corresponding Lr Mobile database we store on your iPad.
It would be great if you could send me the database files.

To access these files you need to do the following:
- connect your iPad via usb with your desktop machine
- install the demo version of iExplorer - http://www.macroplant.com/iexplorer/
- open iExplorer and navigate to Apps->Lightroom->Documents
...within Documents open up the folder and send me the catalog.ozcat (you can just drag this folder to your dektop) as a zipped file - best as a downloadable dropbox link (in case you have dropbox running)

You have already tried a clean new install of Lr Mobile on your iPad, right? Can you remember about which synced collection caused the problem? Have you tried to disable the last enabled for sync collection from Lr Desktop. Could you try that?

Hi Guido, I restored the iPad to factory settings und then used the last backup to reconfigure. The problem is gone now. If it reoccurs, I'll try the route you suggested.
