Lightroom & Mat Cutting Layout Sheet.

Lightroom offers the ability to print cut lines on print sheets to aide in the cutting of the sheets to individual prints. A very simple enhancment (programatically speaking) that would extend this to matting the entire sheet as one entire collage would be the ability to generate offset lines from the actual image size inwards to depict the cut line for the mat opening for each iamge. A print out of the empty photo cells on a sacrificial cut sheet could be applied to the mat and cut in mere minutes vs. the lengthy layout task by hand. I have done this manually - printed the empty cells and then hand drawn the offsets. This enhancement would make the effort of cutting a perfect, but complex opening mat childs play.

Opening offsets should be adjustable, i.e. .125, .25, .5 inch, etc. Also the resulting mat "frame" widths should be uniform and the software should be aware of the frame widths between image openings and insure uniformity. Include this enhancemment and you will make every Lightroom user that wants to mat their images smile ear to ear!
