Lightroom: Map module issue

When using the Map module in Lightroom 4.1 with stacked images, the GPS Data is only placed on the first image in the stack. When I shoot for HDR or Panoramic, I often stack my images so I don't have to look at several versions of the same image. If there was a warning or something to indicate the image shown in the map module was part of a stack, it would help.

Is the stack expanded or collapsed?

Is it is collapsed, Lightroom behaves as designed. Not only assigning GPS, but any other metadata will be assigned only to the top image of a collapsed stack.

This is a design feature that many have grumbled about. The Syncomatic plugin will copy metadata from the top photo in the stack to all the others, but it's not clear whether it handles GPS:

If it doesn't, the author might add that capability for you.
