Lightroom: Exporting to disc is a nightmare

Now that I have lightroom installed on my computer, I am having difficulty exporting photos to a disc. When I edited the photos, I placed them on my hard drive. Before installing lightroom, the process to send photos to a disc was simple. After lightroom, I sent some photos from my hard drive that were edited in lightroom. But my computer will not allow me to add photos to the disc. Why? Because the photos I transferred to the disc open up in a lightroom program, even though they came from my hard drive, and not from lightroom. Now when I try to add photos to the disc, my computer is telling me to place a disc in the drive, even though there is a disc in the drive.

I suspect the problem has something to do with lightroom because there was never a problem adding photos to a disc before I installed lightroom. I am not sure why lightoom even involves itself since it presumably is no longer in the chain. I am not sure why lightroom is involved since I am going straight from my hard drive to the disc drive. Its almost as though lightroom imbeds the photos with something that forces the photos to open in lightroom.

To make matters worse, I then follow the directions to export directly from lightroom to disc, and that does not work either, because even with a disc in the drive, the menu only allows me to export to the hard drive. There is no option for cd/dvd.

So now, since installing lightoom, I am stuck with a one time adding of photos to a disc. Surely this is a way around this. Please help.

What OS/version are you using?

Are you running Lightroom in 64bit or 32bit?
