Please allow us to maintain virtual copy snapshots independent of master photo.

As you may know, I'm a proponent of eliminating the distinction between master & virtual altogether (despite some details that would need to be worked out, e.g. xmp...).

If that doesn't happen, at least allow virtual copy snapshots to be created/deleted/renamed without affecting master snapshots, and vice versa.

Thanks,
Rob

Really? I find the shared snapshots to be a real bonus when working with VC's. Why do you want them separated?

Not sure I know how to explain. I take snapshots to capture the state of a photo. If I'm capturing the state of a photo, I don't want to see that captured state in some other photo, likewise if I delete the snapshot of a photo, then I don't want it to be deleted in some other photo either. If I ever decide I wanna copy/cut & paste that snap to another photo, then I will. I can imagine a toggle to show snaps from others in the set, which would make it the same as it is now, the problem is that there is no way to isolate the snaps for individual photos. So, what I'm proposing would not take away a feature, but would add a feature.
