Lightroom: LR4.1 RC2 Double-clicking on Map loses image selection.

If you double-click on the map In the Map module to zoom in, it will lose track of which photo was selected in the filmstrip and will default to selecting the first photo in the filmstrip. If you are working with thousands of photographs (e.g., All Photographs), it can take a while to find your way back to where you were.

Cannot reproduce.

It simply deselects what was selected, but does not select the first photo. Works as expected.

Personally, I don't expect it to deselect the image I just selected and am planning to geotag. And it's not until you go back to the Library that it is at the top of the images.

Every program I remember that deals with some items selection in a certain workspace, deselects items if you click in a white space (where there's no items).

Note that, the photos are not deselected if you pan instead of click. Also, you can use the mouse wheel or the zoom slider to zoom the map.

Unlike clicking on a blank space in a library, clicking on a map is not related to selecting images. So clicking on a map should not deselect an image that you have just selected because you want to place it on a map. In that case, deslecting is either a design flaw or a bug.
