Lightroom: Lossless video trimming/splitting/joining

Lightroom should support cutting and splicing videos in a way that doesn't require recompression (re-encoding) or transcoding, in order to prevent generation loss (to maximize image quality) while minimizing output file sizes and export times.

On Windows, I use a tool called "AVI Splitter" to achieve this. On OSX you can use "SplitFuse". Quicktime X has a "trim" feature, and VirtualDub has "Direct Stream Copy".
