Lightroom: Linked Virtual Copies

Presently, a virtual copy adopts settings at time of spawning, but then all ties are broken.

If one could specify that ties be maintained, then virtual copies could continue to reap the benefit of additional editing to the master, but also specify settings to be applied in addition.

The purpose is to maintain various copies of the same photo for different uses without manual intervention, nor multiple export trees, e.g.

Copies with different:
- Grain, blacks, & contrast.
- Settings more suited for printing.
- Settings more suited for web
- Settings for different creative vision.
- ...

Note: this idea would make a lot more sense if the virtual copy adjustments could be treated as offsets instead of absolute - will make more sense once Adobe implements relative adjustment presets.

Also, better handling of related groups of photos would really help for managing the additional copies:

I've posted something else like this a long time ago somewhere else before. Thought it might have been in the Lr4b but no.

This would be brilliant, exactly what I would suggest.

You've saved me a lot of typing.
