Lightroom: Why doesn't Lightroom list the Lens Correction profile for JPEGs from my camera model?

I'm using a TAMRON 18-270mm F/3.5-6.3DiII VC PZD lens with my Canon T2i camera. When I import the pictures into Adobe Lightroom 3.4 and go to Lens Correction, it does not list my lens model. The only lists one Tamron lens which is not the one I use. However on http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/846/cpsid_84... it lists my lens as having a Lightroom profile.

What should I do to get Lightroom to list my lens profile?

You probably have a jpeg file and the profile is for raw files, or the other way around.

Thanks Geoff.

Why doesn't the profile work for jpeg files?

Because jpegs are already processed and some cameras processing engines may already have applied lens corrections. You can always use the manual corrections and create a preset to apply yourself or use the lens profile maker and make your own profile.
