Lightroom: incoherent case sensitive/insensitive behavior in smart collections

I just figured out a tricky incoherent behavior while working with smart collection.

I have a number of photos with a City field set. Suppose it's "Cityname".

If you look for photos by "City" "is" "cityname", none is found.
If you look for photos by "City" "contains" "cityname", you get them all.
If you look for photos by "City" "is" "Cityname", you get them all.

To sum it up...
"IS" -> case sensitive
"CONTAINS" -> case insensitive

None of the cases is right or wrong. You just need to decide.
I vote for everything case insensitive.

There should be a "match case" check box.

That would add check boxes where no check boxes are present at the moment.
Adobe may decide to put one under preferences or better leave case insensitive as I think most photographers won't use keywords/places/others with same letter but different case structure.

Don't you agree?

If Adobe wanted to do the bare minimum, I would agree with you that it should be completely case-insensitive, so at least it would be consistent and predictable.

Interesting, it appears that the "is" operator is case-sensitive for all the metadata fields (I've tried Country, State/Province, City, Sublocation, Label Text, Camera, Creator, Job). It is inconsistent with how all the other text-match operators work in filters and smart collections.
