Lightroom has stopped importing

I use Lightroom every day for my work for the pass 6 years and just now it stop importing !? I work on mac and the only thing i did today is the security update 2012-005. After the restart I could no longer import photos. I work with the same camera as usual (D700 for 5 years). I have 3 jobs for 3 different client to do so i'm a bit on a hurry.

Please Help

by security up date, do you mean the Mac OS Java for OS X 2012-005 update? If not, can you be more specific as to which update? Which Mac OS version are you using?

Meanwhile, make sure you have enough hard disk space open, maybe try a different drive (as a temporary measure).

It imports the folder but no pictures inside. I've tried adding from the hard drive as well as importing from the card. Photomecanics sees the images so does bridge.

Thanks for the response. I need more details on the upgrade that you performed that started the problem, though.

Mac os 10.7.5 and i dont remember wich 2012-005 update. it just pop-up today with others. I do have 1.5 TB available. Time machine seems down to.

You might want to call Apple and see if they've heard of this, or if they can back you out of the update. I'll see if anyone else has seen this.

Try creating a new catalog and importing into the new catalog. I'd like to make sure the problem isn't in your existing catalog.

i've created a new user for my mac and i was able to import the pictures that didn't work on my regular user. What should i do, does a new catalogue will fix the case ? I do have 300 000 photos in the current one. What will happen if i change catalogue ?

did you get my email? I sent you one to your personal email address. It might be easier to take this off line.

Where is the new catalog? Is it in your old user account? If so, then it's probably a problem with the old account. If you go into your new user account, open Lightroom and try to import into your old catalog.
