Lightroom: Fullscreen info overlay

Hi guys,
when I make my first selection of a work I usually work in fullscreen mode and rapidly assign ratings and reject images. It would be awesome to have image info overlay like stars and flags in a corner of the image. Right now the rating appears for only a few second when assigned and the disappears but has a delay in fading away if quickly moving from one image to the next. This is quite confusing because for a few seconds a wrong rating is shown with the image.

I'm amazed that you cannot overlay any info while in fullscreen. I take many identical frames at different exposures and when reviewing them it would be very helpful to be able to see exposure. I can do this in non-fullscreen, Loupe mode, but fullscreen is much better for reviewing photos.

edit: I just learned how to hide the side panels and the toolbars, so now Loupe mode is almost as good as fullscreen for reviewing photos.

Funny - I just posted that same comment a couple of minutes ago (didn't see you original post till just now).
I agree fully. I love working in Full Screen to do my selection work and if I could see what attributes I already assigned it would be so helpful.

In Loupe view we can hit the "I" key and get different overlays - would be great to have a similar feature in Full Screen.

Lightroom: Rating and Deleting in Full Screen Mode.

I love Full Screen mode for editing weddings. I often need faces to be big on screen to see people's expressions so I can rate the images. However, even though I can rate images while doing this - I can't see the rating, would be nice to have the option of seeing it in a corner. Also - more importantly, I can't delete an image while in this mode, I have to hit the F key to go back to normal view, so I can remove an image. Annoying. Would be great to have these options in a future revision of the program.

Lightroom: Transparent Flag/Label/Star Info in Full Screen Mode.

In LR5 I do a lot of work in full screen mode (i love the new version of full screen!) to make my selections (flag rejected photos, color label and star). It would be super helpful to be able to see the different ratings WITHOUT having a full tool bar or any other part of the "frame" of the program. One of the things I like most about the new full screen is that I am fully in the image with nothing else to distract. If there was an option to turn off/on a transparent overlay of any kind of label info (flag, star or label) it would be super helpful! The lower left corner would be ideal for me, but maybe others would like it elsewhere.

OK, I agree with what appears to be the chorus here, but in the meantime I just wanted to ask:

Have you tried using Loupe mode, with all toolbars hidden (it pays to learn your keyboard shortcuts, namely ), and with Navigator set to display images to "Fit" (or better yet, zooming to the subject and locking the zoom)? With a maximized app and no silly dock in your way, this yields images very close to their fullscreen size, and you've got all the overlays and ratings at your control.

Just sayin'..

Hi Tim
Yes, I have done that and it works well enough ... however, one strength of the Full Screen mode is that it is immediate and one key stroke away. With the other method it is "extra work" to set up and then to put things back. When I am editing a big set of files I want to be as time efficient as I can.

Cheers

My suggestion is not is not a photography feature, but I thinks it will help the workflow. I use a lot the reject and pick feature, but when you are full screen and browsing into the library, there is nothing that tell you the "state" of the picture that you are looking.
It would be cool and useful, if I could have some indicator (e.g. red border or a symbol over the picture).

Thank you,
Alessandro
