Lightroom/ACR: Fujifilm X10 RAW poor support

It's needed to increase colors accuracy and sharpness for Fujifilm X10 RAW files so we can easily match at least the details (and possibly the colors) of the JPEGs from camera.
Actually the images imported from my X10 are poor in color accuracy and details, it takes a lot of work to *almost* reach the sharpness and colors of the original image (JPEG) tweaking manually the Lightroom settings.
I've tried creating a profile from a corrected image, but when I apply it to a different kind of image the color and detail are not well reproduced/restored.

I've also noticed that images imported are cropped, you can easily notice this problem looking at the image preview (embedded/JPEG) during loading process, when the images is loaded the portion of images displayed is clearly reduced.

It's needed to add an automatic lens correction (profile) for Fujifilm X10 lens (really great lens [and camera] that you *have* :-) to support it).

You can always create your own camera profiles, and use those in Lightroom. The canned profiles are necessarily averages from a few camera bodies under specific conditions.

If your camera body is responding in a different manner, or your conditions are a lot different, you are going to get different results.

If Adobe Standard is not doing it for you, and there are no other suitable profiles that mimic the in-camera processing, your best bet is to create the profiles yourself. This might be easier than a develop preset.

Likewise, you can make your own lens profiles, or see if the community has already provided one you can use, using the Lens Profile Creator and Lens Profile Downloader, available from Adobe Labs.

I think it would be fantastic if Adobe added full RAW support for Fuji's EXR-sensor cameras. These sensors do not use traditional Bayer pattern interpolation. When the RAW images are processed by third parties the same way others are, about half the resolution is lost.

Here is more information on the "EXR" pattern: http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/fujif...

Fuji's going to keep making these cameras (another comes out this week), and I would love to be able to use it with Lightroom.

Cheers,

So what's the latest? Still no sign from Adobe as to any forthcoming fully effective Lightroom conversion for X-10 files.

Yep, Adobe has still not offered any solutions for the Fuji EXR files in general.

It's like they are totally doing it wrong, either throwing out half the pixels or applying a Bayer demosiac instead.

Adobe: Get together with Fuji and make this work.

I've no need to upgrade unless you do.
