I know we can export images into a subfolder of the folder which contains our starting image but it would be really useful if we could have the subfolder created in the parent folder of the folder in which the start image resides.
Let me explain...
Let's say I have a main shoot folder called "New Years Eve 2011", inside this I have a folder called Captures in which I store all my raw files. I usually have another folder inside the parent folder titled Exports. This works great for me as it keeps the exported files separated for viewing from the raw files which I may not want clients etc to see. The feature I'm asking for would allow Lightroom to create the Exports folder in the parent folder (New Years Eve 2011) rather than inside the Captures folder which is how the sub-folder currently works.
I know that we can choose and manually create folders at export time but it would be really great if we could have this automated as a choice in the Export window so that it could be saved as part of the Export preset and therefore used no matter what the parent folder was.
Hope this makes sense. Please feel free to let me know your thoughts or any reasons on why this couldn't be done.
LR4 is looking great and I'm looking forward to the final release but this little feature would be a real bonus to many photographers who work with the same method as I do.
Cheers
