Lightroom doesn't import empty subfolders into imported folder

I have an issue and I can't find the solution on the web.
I have a copy of Lightroom 5.
I make mini photo-sesions for 50-70 customers at one time.
When I finish I import in LR all the pictures to one folder („Main Folder”) and sort by Capture Time.
In the meantime I create folders for each customers (50-70 folders) inside the „Main Folder”. I name each folder using the names of customers. I do it in Windows Explorer using special software for batch naming.
And now I would like to import the whole „Main Folder” (including 800-900 photos and about 50-70 empty subfolders (the ones called with customers names) and put appropriate files into them in LR.
But the problem is, that LR doesn't import empty catalogs. It imports only the main folder („Main Folder”). I know I can import all the subfolders one by one or put a blind photo to each one, and then delete them, but it doesn't seem to be an optimal solution.
Please, let mi know it there is any way to import „Main Folder” with empty subfolders.

Kind regards,
