Lightroom: Does a print template reliably store all the settings of the printer driver?

The manual is not 100% clear about this, quote: "Saving a custom template preserves ... and print settings you’ve specified". Does "print settings" include all the settings configured in the printer driver?

Based on my experience (template saves e.g.paper type and no-margin settings of a Canon IP4500), I would say yes, but I wanted to be sure and ask if this is always the case, for every printer driver possible.

P.S. Just out of technical curiosity: Are the printer driver settings stored in the binary "_printInfoBase64" section of the template?

"Does "print settings" include all the settings configured in the printer driver?"

Yes.

"I wanted to be sure and ask if this is always the case, for every printer driver possible. "

Well... I would never speak in guaranteed absolutes. :-) But yes, it is our intention that this work.

"Just out of technical curiosity: Are the printer driver settings stored in the binary "_printInfoBase64" section of the template?"

Yes.

Thanks! And yes, of course I didn't mean to request a "guarantee" for it ;-) In retrospect, my wording "always ... for every printer driver possible" sounds a little weird ;-)

Hi - recently been having problems with my Epson R3000. The Lightroom presets are not communicating the paper size and print settings to the printer. I have to go in an re-select the paper, orientation, ink etc. for each template otherwise it just goes with whatever setting are in the printer preferences. Its been a problem since I re-installed Windows 8 and re-installed the drivers. Any suggestions?
