Lightroom: can't import movies only for Sony DSC-RX100

I just found a nasty bug.

If you shoot one or more movies only on a Sony DSC-RX100, Lightroom won't recognize any content at all in the import dialog.
You have to shoot also at least one picture to import media from the card.

How to reproduce the bug:

1) Format the card
2) Shoot a movie. Lightroom won't recognize anything. Here it is the card content:

3) Shoot even a second movie. Still nothing happens. Here it is the card content:

4) Shoot a single picture. Lightroom now can import both the picture and the two previous clips. Here it is the card content:

The issue here is with the directory structure that the camera uses for the AVCHD file format (something that Adobe is currently working on improving support for.)

The workaround is to select the SD card in the Source menu and click "Include Subfolders". This should allow you to drill down into the directory structure and select the video.

Dear Kelly,

I tried that workaround before reporting this post and no, it didn't work.
The only solution is to capture at least a single photo.
