Lightroom: Book Module - Allow horizontal image flipping in the book layout.

When laying out a book I find some images work better flipped horizontally depending on which page they are placed. For example I often prefer wildlife shots to show the animal looking (or flying) toward the opposite page.

I would appreciate an option in the book module to horizontally flip a placed image for the purpose of rendering in the book, i.e. without changing the original or how it looks anywhere else. The right click menu drop down on an image on a page would be a good place for this in my view.

Currently to achieve flipping for the book I think there are only two options, both of which are very unsatisfactory for me ...

1) Flip the original in the develop module...
I do not wish to modify the original shot in this way anywhere else but the book, and I do not want to cause the image to be re-published to Flickr, SmugMug etc each time I do this. Especially considering I might change my mind (Left or Right page) several times as I layout the book.

2) Create a virtual copy of the image and Flip that so I have both a left and right image version...
This is also unsatisfactory as it effectively creates a duplicate copy of the image in smart collections, keyword searches, on the map and potentially on publishing smart collections for Flickr and SmugMug etc. I summary, I do not wish to have two copies (albeit one virtual) of the image simply for book layout flexibility.

Many thanks for any consideration given to this.
