I would like for the ability to create collections that have a fixed crop (user selectable). Any image put into the collection would be cropped at the designed size.

When shooting weddings, print orderes sometimes come in different sizes. I'd love to just create collections that match the size of the prints and then put the images in the respective collection.

Crop would be changed automatically (if needed). I can then scroll through and tweek as needed. These changes should not "flow back" to the images in the library. They'd keep whatever original crop they had.

Unless I am mistaken about what you are wanting, you can do this today. Crop is available in the Quick Develop panel of the Library. You can select a collection, select all the images, select the crop in QD, tweak individually as necessary. Using VC's the same image can appear in many differently cropped aspect ratio collections as you like.
