In Lightroom (4.1.) also thumpnails of videos are shown. (and can be played)
From within Lightroom you can open a phote in the editor of photoshop elements but not open a video in the editor of Premeire.

I'm switching this to a feature request as the current functionality is as designed, but opening into Premiere would be a great addition.

I have PSE 10 & PRE (photoshop premier elements) 10 installed. Having moved to LR 4.1 because PSE simply does not work with the 30k+ files I have. When I do a Lightroom "edit in" for a image it works fine sending the file to PSE10.
However, when I do a Lightroom "edit in" for videos, the PRE10 shows up but is grayed out. My PC is Win7 64bit, 8gig ram. I had this problem isn RC1 and have reinstalled (wiping all data out) several times. This issue is for all video types and I can manually open PRE 10 and edit the video so there is no file format issue.
Is there anyway to set the external programs for edit in for a video?

Hi Eric, this is great. Thank you. Does it work with photoshop premier elements 12? I have not needed to go to premier pro.
