Lightroom: Adjustment Brush not Painting

I am currently running into a problem with my adjustment brush. When I select the brush and go to paint on the image, I only get a change were the mouse is first click. The brushing will not follow my mouse as I move around the image. I have adjusted size, feather, flow, and density every which way to see if anything there will help. I have uninstalled lightroom 4.3 and reinstalled. I have uninstalled again and installed 4.2. Nothing is making the issue go away. I am using a new mac mini, with all OS up to date. I can use the graduated filter and move it around the image and rotate, it is only the brush. To ensure my ouse wasn't messed up, I tryied drawing in photoshop and the brushes work perfectly.

Thanks

do you have auto-mask checked?

With it checked or unchecked the same results occur. It is incredibly frustrating.

Here is what my brush screen looks like

Below is what happens when I use the brush. Each time I click it makes an adjustment the size of my brush, but I cannot paint. The adjustment only occurs at the time of click. i can click multiple times, but not paint.

I would recommend resetting your preferences file. I have seen it fix this before.

I tried that, and unfortunately no luck. Thanks for the suggestion though.
