Lightroom: Additional Image Filtering tools for Time Span

When working with large volumes of time lapse imagery, it would be nice to be able to show all images within a certain timeframe. For example:

"Show all images from 9a-5p"
"Show all images between 12p-1p" between __ and __ months"
"Show all weekday photos while hiding weekend photos"

The ability to select every "N" images would also be extremely helpful if one has 5000 frames but only wants to use 1000 or 500 to render a video with.

Thanks!

The Any Filter plugin lets you filter by time of day, day of week, day of month, and month, as well as ranges of such.

Thanks for this. In my mind, the fact that there is a paid filter for selecting images demonstrates the need for greater selection abilities. Here's to hoping for that in LR5!

Does it have the ability to select every Nth image? That would be a biggie.

It doesn't have the general ability. But if the images' filenames are numbered sequentially, you could filter all files that end in 0, or that end in [05], or [02468], or 00, or [02468]0, etc.

You might ask a plugin author to write a simple plugin that filters every nth in the current selection; post here:

Hmmm, the topic header was supposed to be "Lightroom: Additional Image Filtering tools for TIMELAPSE". Maybe my spell checker changed that.

Timelapse workflows would be greatly improved with additional selection capabilities, especially "N"th image selection.
