Since I have upgraded to LR 5.5 in the last 2 weeks, I am continually getting "Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 64-bit has stopped working" and closes. I have only experienced this issue since the latest upgrade from the Adobe Creative Cloud. Windows 8.1 64bit, 16gb of ram. Happens when selecting a number of files, either to delete or work on in the Develop module. I also use Nik plugins, but was not using them at the time of all these issues.

I would recommend you reset your preferences file first: http://www.lightroomforums.net/showth...

Thank you Rikk, I will reset my Lightroom 5.5 tonight, and give it a workout over the next few days. I will advise if it seems Ok then.

I have been using Lightroom for some time, updating it as Creative Cloud advises. All of a sudden, I get the "Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 64-bit has stopped working" error message. I have reset my preferences file and tried a new catalog (ctrl+launch) on my WIndows 7 laptop. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled it through Creative Cloud, but to no avail. What else can I do? I need in Lightroom and haven't been able to get in for the last 5 days....

Did you Mouse, Tablet or Video Cards update drivers about the same time as the crash started appearing?
